Inspiration & Work Place
What’s inspiration in the workplace? Thanks for this question . Truth is, there isn’t any such thing as inspiration. You can not create it, do it or have it. You cannot cause it or lose it. Inspiration is what takes place when circumstances are right. Like meditation, you can not meditate either. Do not accept anyone that tells you they are going to teach you how to meditate, they aren’t being truthful. They never meditated truly. All we are able to do is create the circumstances in which meditation might occur. And similarly with Inspiration, we will be able to only create the circumstances for inspiration to occur. How can we create the circumstances for inspiration to occur in an office.
1. In the sector. Folks walking around interrupting one another without any warning is the opposite to “in the zone”. Even a collection of earphones with the right music (individual choice) can block out background rumpus and make a “zone” for somebody. About 20 -30 mins in “the zone” takes someone into inspiration.
2. Contentment. Dark moods, hate, negativity and downers kill the space for inspiration. Up beat, positive, affirmative and truthful environments permit the nervous system to chill, let go defences and this is needed for inspiration.
3. Confidence. We must have a feeling of purpose for inspiration to happen. That suggests simply an idea that we are “on the right track” with whatever we do. Planning a carpet, writing a letter, responding to the telephone, irrespective of what we do we must believe this activity is causing the end result our boss, or project demands. Doubt kills inspiration.
4. Challenge. Many of us avoid challenge in the belief that calm creates inspiration. But this is false.
5. Calm kills inspiration. There should be a feeling of demand, pressure, intention, result and there should be sustained checks of progress against that. Inspiration dies in doubt. We revealed this already. But there’s more.This isn’t emotional platitudes but an honouring of real effort. If folk feel a feeling of direction, they let go of the withholding patterns that cause ego defences – which in turn would block inspiration.
6. Pecking order . There are distribute of feminist who disagree for equality in the world. This is a parable if interpreted into structures of management. Equality refers to the human rights of each individual. Here it has validity. Equality in an office is also a matter of human right. But the defiance of pecking order in a structure is man hate. Man hate implies an individual can’t be humble to authority. If that authority is masculine or female, that individual who can’t respect authority hates manliness. This suggests that individual has become obsessive about self expression, self doggedness, self views, self feelings. This defies the best law of nature. The law of the one and the various, meekness to a bigger power. At the office we are humble to the MD. If we loathe the chairman, we must leave, not moan or defy them. In society the laws are the chairman. If we defy them, there can be no structure, no order, no safety. In relationship, loving kindness is the MD.
In our private lives health is a chairperson, ( if we are not healthy ) but when we have health, a life with purpose becomes the MD.
If we can’t respect our teachers, we won’t respect our Gods. We must learn how to compartmentalize our bosses. The head honcho at work isn’t our manager in relationship. Leadership is crucial. If a feminist fights against leadership in business due to human rights, then this could be healthy.
If they fight because they abhor authority figures, then there won’t ever be inspiration in this business and folk will burn out.
7. Energy. At work, folk eat shit food, drink distribute of coffee, take chocolate, or, many starve till lunch time and then over indulge, and fizzle for the afternoon. Blood sugar is the key to energy management. Blood sugar is more critical than environment. Low blood sugar puts folks into reactiveness and defensive mindsets. High blood sugar makes folks overt, loud and assertive. Finding the balance is vital. Nuts, fruit, significant proteins. This entire science is ignored in our society obsessive about body weight control, or blood types or whatever.
When blood sugar is high or low there can’t be inspiration.
